Top 10 keyboard shortcuts everyone should know

Using keyboard shortcuts can greatly increase your productivity, reduce repetitive strain, and help keep you focused. For example, to copy text, you can highlight text and press the Ctrl + C shortcut. The shortcut is faster than moving your hands from the keyboard, highlighting with the mouse, choosing copy from the file menu, and then returning to the keyboard.
Below are the top 10 keyboard shortcuts we recommend everyone memorize and use.

Ctrl + C or Ctrl + Insert and Ctrl + X

Both Ctrl + C and Ctrl + Insert will copy the highlighted text or selected item. If you want to cut instead of copy press Ctrl + X.

Ctrl + V or Shift + Insert

Both the Ctrl + V and Shift + Insert will paste the text or object that's in the clipboard.

Ctrl + Z and Ctrl + Y

Pressing Ctrl + Z will Undo any change. For example, if you cut text, pressing this will undo it. These shortcuts can also be pressed multiple times to undo or redo multiple changes. Pressing Ctrl + Y would redo the undo.

Ctrl + F

Pressing Ctrl + F opens the Find in any program. Ctrl + F includes your Internet browser to find text on the current page. Press Ctrl + F now to open the Find in your browser and search for "shortcut" to find each time shortcut is mentioned on this page.

Alt + Tab or Ctrl + Tab

Pressing Alt + Tab switches between open programs moving forward. For example, if you have your browser window open and other programs running in the background press and hold Alt and then press tab to cycle through each open program.
Tip: Press Ctrl + Tab to switch between tabs in a program. For example, if you have multiple tabs open in your browser now press Ctrl + Tab to switch between open tabs.
Tip: Adding the Shift key to Alt + Tab or Ctrl + Tab moves backward. For example, if you are pressing Alt + Tab and pass the program you want to use, press Alt + Shift + Tab to move back to that program.
Tip: Windows Vista and 7 users can also press the Windows Key + Tab to switch through open programs in a full screenshot of the window.

Ctrl + Back space and Ctrl + Left or Right arrow

Pressing Ctrl + Backspace will delete a full word at a time instead of a single character.
Holding down the Ctrl key while pressing the left or right arrow will move the cursor one word at a time instead of one character at a time. If you want to highlight one word at a time, hold down Ctrl + Shift and then press the left or right arrow key to move one word at a time in that direction while highlighting each word.

Ctrl + S

While working on a document or other file in almost every program, pressing Ctrl + Ssaves that file. Use this shortcut key frequently if you're working on anything important in case an error happens, you lose power, or other problem that causes you to lose any work since the last save.

Ctrl + Home or Ctrl + End

Ctrl + Home will move the cursor to the beginning of the document, and Ctrl + End will move the cursor to the end of a document. These shortcuts work with most documents, as well as web pages.

Ctrl + P

Open a print preview of the current page or document being viewed. For example, press Ctrl + P now to view a print preview of this page.

Page Up, Space bar, and Page Down

Pressing either the page up or page down key will move that page one page at a time in that direction. When browsing the Internet, pressing the space bar also moves the page down one page at a time.
Tip: If you are using the space bar to go down one page at a time, press the Shift key and space bar to go up one page at a time.

Top 15 Google SEO Ranking Factors in 2016

As many of you might know that Google is using 200 factors for ranking websites and web pages. No one exactly knows the fact behind these 200 factors except Google’s employees who have created these factors and algorithms. However, there are SEO experts who give their opinion on these factors and also do very comprehensive case studies. As a result, we now have a slightly clear idea about what’s going on. Out of these 200 signals, I have a list of top 15 factors which you can use in 2016 and beyond to rank your websites in Google.

1) Main Keyword in Title

Title is the main part of an article, and it’s equally important as far as SEO is concerned. The first thing Google considers as the signal for SERP (Search Engine Result Pages) is the title tag. You must use your main keyword wisely in your title so that it looks perfect and accurate in the eyes of search engines and especially Google.

2) Keyword in Domain Name

If you have your primary keyword in your domain then chances are high for getting the first position in search engines for the reserved keyword. Keywords in domain name help search engines’ crawlers in finding relevant pages on the same website easily.

3) Domain Name Age

In SEO, this is an old saying that aged domain names are the queens. The more aged domain you have, the more it’s better. If a domain name is 5 years old then chances are very much higher for better ranking as compare to a 1 year old domain name. So this is a real fact.

4) Keyword in H1 & H2 Tags

If content is king and title is queen then H1 and H2 are the ministers. Yes, it’s true if you include the keyword in heading one or heading two, chances for obtaining a better ranking is more than expectations.

5) Content Length

And here it comes the magic, the more lengthy article you have, the more ranking factors you’ll knock. A 2000 words article is five times better than a 500 words article, chances for a 2000 (words) article will be 20% higher than an article having only 500 words. It’s true dude, give it a try.

6) Keyword Density As Low As Possible

Keyword density is the number of keywords you use in the whole article, the maximum limit is 3% but if you use your keywords wisely in the article and keep it up to 1% or 2% then chances are still higher for getting a desired ranking in SERP. Let’s not forget checking the density in your articles using different online tools.

7) Updated Content

Gone are the days when you used to have a piece of content for years and decades. This era is called “Dynamic era” which means you have to update your content every time when there is a change in the technology or in the thing you’ve written about. Make it a habit to change the content according to latest trends.

8) Images & Videos in Article

A few years ago, We used to rank up text based content very easily in Google, but that’s not the case now, you have to add media and videos to your articles/posts in order to get a consistent position in search engines. Don’t use too much images and videos in your article, but a balancing ratio between content and media is must.

9) Website Speed & Mobile Optimized

If your website is not opening in 2 seconds then you are in hot waters. If you don’t have a mobile friendly version of your website then you are really in troubles. Make sure to speed up your website and make it mobile friendly so that everybody on every device can access it easily, and search engines love this thing.

10) Domain Authority

Domain Authority (DA) is something that you should care about, before this, there was Page Rank which we used to improve overtime. But now, DA has taken the place, you should build backlinks with websites which have higher Domain authority than your site. If you can make your DA rank above 40 or 50 then celebrate it.

11) W3 Validation

If your site’s HTML/CSS and JavaScript code is valid according to w3 consortium then it’s a great plus point for you, don’t be lazy, take out some time and check whether your site’s code is really validated or not.

12) Sitemap For Your Website

Sitemaps are still considered one of the important factors for ranking your website, search engines’ crawlers love to go through the entire map of your site and find more relevant pages to index in their database.

13) Penguin Safe & Relevant Backlinks

Penguin is one of the algorithms Google introduced to catch up spammy backlinks, and now you have to be very careful while creating backlinks, because it can go negative against you. Therefore, always create penguin safe and relevant backlinks. Irrelevant backlinks are also considered as negative backlinks.

14) Avoid Duplicate Content

You should 100% avoid creating duplicate content, if you have clean content on your site and every page is unique without any duplicate copy then believe me, you’ll be the boss. Search engines don’t excuse duplicate content.

15) Social Shares

Social Media is very powerful these days in terms of SEO, it really matters. If you have more likes, shares and comments on your blog post then it’ll give a positive and strong signal to Google for ranking up your content very quickly. So make sure to produce useful content and get maximum social shares from your readers.
Last Words:
SEO is still alive, and it’s even more powerful than ever. Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

How to Receive a Wire Transfer in Pakistan?

Paypal is something, but it’s not everything. There are many international payment options out there for Pakistani users. If you ever wanted to get a payment from an online company then you can use several options to receive your payments such as Payoneer in Pakistan. But today, I’ll be telling you a different story, which is how to get your payment via Wire Transfer in Pakistan just within 5 working days.

What’s Wire Transfer?

Instead of telling you myself about what’s Wire Transfer, I’m quoting the Wikipedia’s explanation on this here:
Wire transfer, bank transfer or credit transfer is a method of electronic funds transfer from one person or entity to another. A wire transfer can be made from one bank account to another bank account or through a transfer of cash at a cash office.
So yes, it’s that simple thing. Any bank from anywhere in the world can send you a Wire Transfer and as I mentioned in the first paragraph, you’ll receive it within 5 working days in Pakistan.

5G SPEEDS LET YOU DOWNLOAD A TV SHOW IN JUST 3 SECONDS, AND AT&T JUST UNVEILED ITS ROAD MAP

Verizon might have revealed its guide to getting to 5G remote speeds last September, yet AT&T wouldn't like to be left in Big Red's dust.

The information transfers company discharged its arrangement to make 5G speeds available for the normal purchaser — and it begins with an organization with Ericsson and Intel, with lab tests done withing the second quarter of the year. At that point, outside tests and trials will occur over the mid year, and settled areas in Austin will probably get field trials of the new 5G system.

5G is not really an incremental update more than 4G LTE, which as of now presents to 100Mbps in pace. 5G offers speeds that are 10 to 100 times speedier, around 1Gbps — that could conceivably permit you to download a TV show in three seconds. AT&T says 5G will lessen dormancy also — as in the time it takes for a video to begin gushing after you hit play. That could be lessened to as much as a 1-to 5-millisecond delay.

AT&T needs to hold up until 5G principles are an unavoidable reality by the 3GPP first. The 3GPP is the worldwide body that sets the system guidelines, and it's at present taking a shot at principles for 5G, yet the primary period of two may be finished in the main portion of 2018.

AT&T says its remote system's information movement saw more than 60 percent originating from video a year ago, and said "4K video, virtual reality, and IoT will drive the following influx of activity development."

While organizations are hurrying to be the first to make utilization of 5G capacities, some are calling to concentrate on industry models change, changes to Intellectual Property standards, and modifications to how range is dispensed, before setting such a speedy and firm guide for 5G remote, which is relied upon to be see across the country sending by

'Apple Maps Vans Working To Improve Apple Maps'

Sharp-eyed night owls may spot something new in the evening. Apple Insider has shots of an Apple Maps van driving around NYC at night. Reports of similar excursions have come in from the Boston area. Last year, the Cupertino company announced that it was sending out a fleet of vans to collect real-world data for its Apple Maps app. Shortly afterwards, it revealed that it was working to make its vans more recognizable — this extends mostly to the lettering emblazoned on the side windows in the familiar font used by Apple.
Apple’s own site clearly states its intentions with these vehicles. “Apple is driving vehicles around the world to collect data which will be used to improve Apple Maps. Some of this data will be published in future Apple Maps updates.” You can also go here to track the vans’ locations; from February 1 through Valentine’s Day, the driving locations include areas in London, Paris, and multiple cities across the United States.

It is likely that Apple Maps will see a major update with the release of iOS 10 this summer, so expect the van deployment to shift into overtime until then. The update is most likely to occur at the annual Worldwide Developers Conference in June.

Even without the app’s logos, you can easily spot the vans by the equipment mounted to the roof, including cameras, LiDAR, and GPS. These sensors ensure that the road is where it should be on the map, and they also provide a platform to take photos from. If you think this is sounding more like Google’s Street View, you’re right. It is also speculated that Apple will introduce a nighttime version of this feature (unless the vans are working after hours just to catch up).
With Google having a good head start in the mapping department, it remains to be seen how much coverage Apple can acquire even as its competition continues to update its own software.

MyShake Turns Your Smartphone into an Earthquake Detector

A new Android app called MyShake uses your smartphone’s accelerometers to detect earthquakes and collect helpful seismic data for researchers. Early results show that MyShake can help with the early detection of earthquakes magnitude 5 and higher within 6.2 miles.
MyShake, which comes from a group of seismologists and computer scientists at the University of California, Berkeley, is already available as a free Android app. When the app detects vibrations that are in line with those of an earthquake, it instantly sends that anonymous information to a central system where an algorithm confirms whether an actual earthquake is happening and estimates the location and magnitude in real time. “This information can then be used to issue an alert of forthcoming ground shaking,” according to the paper published by the researchers.

“Our goal is to build a worldwide seismic network and use the data to reduce the effects of earthquakes on us as individuals, and our society as a whole,” according to the app’s website. MyShake also gives users information about recent earthquakes around the world, as well as significant historical earthquakes.

Those who are interested in downloading the app but are wary of the effect on battery life have little reason to fear. “The app runs ‘silently’ in the background on your phone using very little power – just like the step-tracking fitness apps,” according to MyShake’s website. One of the ways MyShake avoids sipping too aggressively on a battery is avoiding the use of a phone’s GPS. It uses a phone’s accelerometer instead and does so in a battery-friendly way, thanks to some help from Deutsche Telekom.
MyShake also uses a fine-tuned algorithm that can distinguish earthquake vibrations from other everyday vibrations, preventing a phone running the app from constantly sending a stream of data. One of the limitations, however, is that MyShake will only work when a phone is laid on a flat surface.

When MyShake detects an earthquake, it first sends a packet of data (with time, location and estimated magnitude) to a central server. “Combined with other reports from phones nearby, the scientists have shown that they can automatically alert other phones within the earthquake’s impending path — all within less than a second — notifying people as to the magnitude of the quake and how many seconds they have until it hits,” according to Popular Mechanics.
After the alert and once the phone running MyShake is plugged in, the app will send a larger data file to the server containing a five-minute recording from the phone’s accelerometer.
The team behind the app says it hopes to have an iOS app in the future.
MyShake appears to be one of a few early manifestations of previous research showing how smartphones could be helpful for the early detection of earthquakes.

How To Reset Your Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge To Factory Settings

If your Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge is running slow or an error seems to be plaguing performance, don’t fret — a quick factory restore could help refresh your phone. Similarly, if you’ve somehow lost your password, the same operation will make your device usable again.
Now, before we begin, we must make sure it’s clear what we mean by a factory restore. It will return your device to its original state before you bought it. That means all settings will be returned to defaults, and all data will be deleted. And by all, we mean everything — photos, videos, contacts, locally stored music, saved files. Absolutely everything will be scrapped, so be sure to back up anything and everything you wish to save, if you’re able to.
Now that the obligatory data wipe warnings are out of the way, let’s get on to business.

The first option is to perform a Soft Reset, which is the easiest way to perform a factory reset for those who can access their phone’s settings. If you’ve already backed up your files, you can return your phone to factory settings easily through the settings menu.
  • Open Settings and scroll down to the Backup and reset option. Towards the bottom of the screen, tap Factory Data Reset.
  • The on-screen prompts will warn you that all data will be lost and the phone returned to default settings, but that’s why we’re here, right? Confirm that you wish to perform the reset, and then press Reset Device.
  • Your phone has now been restored to factory settings.

There is a second option, the Hard Reset, and those who have lost their passwords and are unable to access the phone’s settings will be able to perform a factory restore this way.
  • Turn off the device.
  • Once the phone is off, hold the volume up, home, and power buttons down simultaneously. Continue to hold this combination while the phone boots, until the screen shows the Android Robot.
  • After a few moments, you will have access to the phone’s boot menu. Using the volume up/down buttons to navigate, and the power button to make selections, find and select the Wipe Data/Factory Reset option.
  • Scroll down to Yes, delete all user data, and press the power button once again. You will notice script scrolling along the bottom of the screen, which will end in Data Wipe Complete.
  • Once the operation is complete, press the power button once more to reset the device.
The phone has now been returned to factory settings, and you no longer have to worry about that lost password. Just make sure that you remember your new one.

Now that your phone is reset, any issues you may have had with it should be solved.

Get Google Voice from Outside the U.S.

The free Google Voice service lets you can send text messages and place calls to regular phone numbers from the computer or your mobile phone.
While Google Voice is no longer an invitation-only service, you need to be in the United States (that is, your computer must have a U.S. IP Address) and you must also have a local US phone number in order to activate your Google Voice phone number.

How to Get Google Voice outside the U.S.?

There are however some simple workarounds that will help you enable Google Voice from anywhere outside the USA. I activated Google Voice from India but the same procedure should work with other countries as well.
Step 1: Get a US Phone Number. This process should not take more than five minutes.
Step 2: Download and install Hotspot Shield (make sure you decline the optional toolbar). This is required because you can’t sign-in to Google Voice from a non-US I.P. address.
[*] Hotspot Shield may insert audio ads in websites which are annoying but the reason I recommend it is because the software requires no configuration and you can easily disable it with a simple right click.
Step 3: Start Hotspot Shield, if it’s not already running on your system, and then visit IP2Location to confirm that your location is listed as “United States.” If not, disconnect your current Hotspot Shield session and reconnect to get yourself a new IP Address.
Step 4: Launch the Express Talk softphone software (you may have previously downloaded this software for activating your local US phone number).
Step 5: Open voice.google.com in your web browser and sign-in with your Google account. If you get an error message saying – “Google Voice is not available in your country” – clear your browser cookies and try again.
Choose Number
5a. It’s time to pick a Google Voice phone number. You may enter a US area code and some word to get a memorable phone number or pick one from the available choices.
5b. Enter a four digit pin for voicemail, accept the Terms and continue.
5c. In the next screen, input your local US number that will ring when someone dials your Google Voice number.
5d. Click Call Me Now. Google Voice will call your local number and this should ring the Express Talk software. Enter the confirmation code using the dial pad of Express Talk and once it is verified, your Google Voice phone number is ready for use.
